Official: Lazio Rescind Their Contract With Polymarket

Italian Serie A club Lazio have terminated their contract with their main jersey sponsor Polymarket due to the company's legal troubles in Italy. Prior to this, Lazio had been without a main shirt sponsor for nearly three years before signing a €22 million deal with the New York-based firm. The agreement was set to run until June 2028, with an option for an additional year.

However, the termination came as the Italian authorities banned Polymarket for allegedly offering unauthorized betting activities, which the American company had appealed at the administrative court. Despite the court ruling not being expected in the near future, Lazio and Polymarket have reached a mutual agreement to end the partnership.

Polymarket has committed to paying Lazio the full amount owed for the 2026/27 season, which amounts to roughly €9.5 million. The two parties have expressed hope for future collaboration if circumstances change, and have maintained a relationship of mutual respect and cooperation.
