'New PM house, why not new govt schools in villages?' Dipke announces nationwide drive

NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has launched a nationwide campaign to upgrade government schools in rural areas, aiming to address the neglect of educational infrastructure in villages. The initiative, named the "Sarpanch Challenge", will be inaugurated on August 15, encouraging citizens, parents, and village leaders to collaborate in improving basic facilities in government schools.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced the project from his village in Hingoli, Maharashtra, by visiting the village head and requesting actions to enhance the quality of government schools. Dipke questioned why, despite the recent establishment of a new parliament and a new prime minister's residence, there has been no significant investment in rural schools.

Despite India's recent milestones, village children continue to face difficulties in accessing schools and basic facilities such as drinking water and toilets. Girls are particularly affected due to the lack of safe facilities. Dipke emphasized that this 15th August, the 80th Independence Day, should serve as a starting point for improving government schools across the country.

As part of the "Sarpanch Challenge", the CJP is reaching out to sarpanches (village heads) across the nation to take charge of upgrading their respective schools. The organization plans to recognize village heads who improve their schools through social media, showcasing the transformation through before-and-after photographs.

Dipke further urged parents to visit their children's schools, assess the availability of basic facilities such as electricity, clean water, functional toilets, and mid-day meals, and document any deficiencies through videos. The CJP plans to distribute printable audit forms through their official social media platforms, enabling citizens to record the facilities available at their children's schools and the missing ones.

The initiative aims to ensure that children from farming and laborer families studying in village schools receive the same quality education as those in urban areas. Dipke appealed to the public to recognize the significance of improving rural schools as a fundamental right of children, stating, "Real India lives in villages."
