Mitra salur RM6.7 juta untuk 3 inisiatif komuniti India

The Indian Community Development Unit (Mitra) has allocated RM6.7 million for three initiatives - Madani Scholarship, India B40/M40 Micro, Growth and High Entrepreneurship Grant (Uyarvu Madani), and Dharma Madani - to benefit Hindu students, entrepreneurs, and religious institutions across Malaysia. Minister of Human Resources, R Ramanan, emphasized the need for a holistic and comprehensive approach to community development, including ensuring continuous enhancement of educational opportunities, entrepreneurial support, and community institutions.

He stated that the three initiatives are not merely about financial assistance, but investments in human capital, economic growth, and societal well-being. "These three initiatives demonstrate that the government does not only provide financial assistance, but also invests in human capital development, economic growth, and societal welfare," he added in a statement.

The Madani Scholarship 2026 program allocated RM2.63 million to 28 scholarship centers in seven states, catering to 2,343 SPM and STPM students. The program, spanning from August to December, provides structured tutoring classes. Meanwhile, 128 entrepreneurs received grants exceeding RM3.05 million through Uyarvu Madani's first series of 2026 in Micro, Growth and High categories.

Dharma Madani's fourth series allocated RM1.04 million to 52 Hindu religious institutions. So far, the government has disbursed a total of RM13.52 million to 676 Hindu religious institutions nationwide for various purposes, including cultural classes for students and the establishment of community centers for educational, cultural, and social activities.
