Kerjasama DAP-PAS tak mungkin ketika ini, kata Ramkarpal

DAP Deputy President Ramkarpal Singh has stated that cooperation between his party and PAS is not possible at the moment, attributing it to the allegations of the party being anti-Islam. He dismissed the claim by PAS President Hadi Awang as unsubstantiated, suggesting it is one of the reasons why both parties find it challenging to work together now.

This statement comes in response to PKR Vice President Amirudin Shari's earlier assertion that Pakatan Harapan (PH) is open to cooperating with any party, including Bersatu or the National Partnership (PN). Both Bersatu and PN are component parties within PN. However, both are currently facing crises that have led to the breakdown of their relationship.

Amirudin needs to clarify his statement, clarifying that PH is indeed open to cooperating with any party, including Bersatu or PN, especially considering the potential implications for PH's agenda and potential coalition partners. Ramkarpal emphasized that this matter needs to be thoroughly discussed by the component parties before any announcement can be made.

He also stressed that he is unaware of any such stance and can confirm that such a claim has not surfaced at any level within DAP so far. On Saturday, Amirudin, a Selangor Menteri Besar, was quoted saying that PH is open to cooperating with any party, including PN or Bersatu, as long as the cooperation is based on political stability and the welfare of the people.

Earlier this week, Hadi, through his 'Minda Presiden PAS', accused DAP-led PH of continuing the colonialist project to eliminate the Malay Islamic community. This includes allegations that DAP, which dominates PH, has exposed its extreme secularism and struggled to uphold its 'Malaysian Malaysia' concept.
