Russia’s Supreme Court has barred the Yabloko party from September’s parliamentary elections, citing electoral-law violations. Critics say the exclusion reflects Kremlin fears that Yabloko’s anti-war message could expose opposition to the Ukraine war and challenge the narrative of broad public support. Analysts also argue Russia’s elections are already heavily manipulated and unrepresentative.
