In a video, the senator was seen speaking in Yoruba and accusing Accord Party members of attacking All Progressives Congress supporters. He also dared the audience to record his remarks and share them on social media, addressing APC supporters in Ilesa ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship election.

His media office clarified that the comment was a political call for supporters to reject the Accord Party at the ballot box through peaceful and democratic means. Fadahunsi emphasized that his statement was metaphorical and did not advocate for violence or intimidation against any political party or its supporters. He urged political actors, party members, and the electorate to maintain law and order during the election and urged security agencies to ensure a free and fair electoral process.
