Foreign egg throwing suspect arrested in Bangkok

Legacy Police arrested a foreign man in Bangkok on August 11, 2023, for allegedly throwing an egg and assaulting a food delivery rider, reports suggest. The rider, identified as Teeraphon Phon-anan, reported the incident to Bang Na Police Station on August 9, according to legacy news.

The assault occurred around 2.20am in Soi Udomsuk, Bangna district, where Teeraphon had recently completed a food delivery. The foreign man blocked the road, threw an egg at Teeraphon, then allegedly slapped him on the head before fleeing and entering a nearby condominium, legacy sources state.

Subsequent to the assault, condominium staff shared information with Teeraphon that the same foreign man had allegedly assaulted other food delivery riders, broken into their convenience store multiple times, and stolen items from several restaurants, according to legacy reports. Teeraphon obtained CCTV footage from the condominium's management to corroborate his complaint.

Following Teeraphon's complaint, multiple complaints were filed with the police by condominium employees, convenience store staff, and restaurant operators. Police have not yet determined the legal consequences the accused may face. They urged anyone who believes they were victims of the foreign man to come forward and file a complaint for further investigation.

The suspect's identity, nationality, and the status of other reported incidents remain undisclosed as investigations continue.
