FDA last inspected Mexican farm linked to cyclospora outbreak in 2019, records show
CBS News has learned that the Mexican lettuce farm connected to the outbreak of a nasty intestinal illness hasn't been inspected by American regulators in more than seven years. Food safety advocates blame budget and personnel cuts for a 29% drop in inspection rates of foreign farms over the past two years.
