Everton and Palace complete McNeil-Johnson swap

Everton and Crystal Palace have finalized a swap deal involving Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. The Toffees have announced that the 25-year-old Johnson has signed a four-year contract, while McNeil will be moving in the opposite direction to Crystal Palace. McNeil, currently 26 years old, was nearly part of Palace's squad in February when the Eagles attempted a loan-to-buy deal that would have resulted in a £20 million permanent transfer this summer.

However, the transfer fell through due to incomplete paperwork, causing McNeil's partner, Megan Sharpley, to accuse Palace of manipulating his mental health through a social media post. Johnson, a Wales winger, was brought to Palace in a £35 million deal in January. Despite making 26 appearances for Palace in all competitions, he did not manage to score during his time at Selhurst Park.
