Calgary police charge 8 people in organized crime investigation involving drugs, guns

Calgary police have charged eight individuals in an organized crime investigation involving drug trafficking, firearms offenses, vehicle re-vinning, prescription fraud, and other criminal activities. The investigation, which began in September 2025, identified a network of people engaged in various illicit activities driven by financial gain.

Police executed search warrants in Delacour, Chestermere, and other locations, and seized numerous items, including drugs, firearms, and cash. Two men from Chestermere and Delacour were arrested in March 2026 and charged with various offenses. In March 2026, a traffic stop led to the seizure of methamphetamine and cocaine during a search of three vehicles.

A man from Thorncliffe was arrested for multiple firearms-related charges. On July 13, 2026, a man from Rocky View County and an individual from the 1800 block of 26 Avenue S.W. were arrested. On July 16, 2026, two more men were charged with firearms offenses and drug trafficking. Police stated that none of the weapons seized were lawfully possessed.
