Toronto Blue Jays rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage underwent successful knee surgery, according to the team. The 23-year-old right-hander's left knee appeared to buckle while he was warming up for the third inning of a game against the Houston Astros on August 4th. He was checked by a trainer before exiting the game. Blue Jays manager John Schneider confirmed that Yesavage's meniscus surgery was successful, and he is not ruled out for the season.

Yesavage, who has a 3.65 earned-run average over 18 starts this season with 91 strikeouts, was called up from the minors as a September call-up last year. He had a standout performance throughout Toronto's World Series run.
