Will patients be left without MRI and CT? Threat to diagnostics availability due to new MoH draft law

On Tuesday, August 11, a press conference is scheduled to address concerns over the potential lack of MRIs and CT scans due to a new Ministry of Health draft law. The event, hosted at the Interfax-Ukraine press center on Reitarska Street, will feature key representatives from Ukraine's private medical sector.

The Association of Private Medical Institutions of Ukraine (APMI) is at the forefront of this discussion, advocating for measures to ensure the continued availability of these critical diagnostic procedures while preventing patients from incurring double payments. This initiative aims to maintain the free accessibility of MRI and CT scans, ultimately improving patient care and convenience.

Joining the conversation will be Anna Kulyk, APMI's Executive Director, who will likely outline the organization's stance on the proposed law and its potential ramifications for the medical community. Oleksandr Haidabas, General Director of MDC Expert, will contribute his perspective as a leading figure in the sector.
