‘We don’t know his nationality, family, academic history’ – Chidi Odinkalu on Tinubu

Former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Prof Chidi Odinkalu, has raised questions about President Bola Tinubu's citizenship, educational background and family history in Nigeria. In a video posted on social media, the law professor highlighted what he perceives as gaps in the President's official records. Odinkalu expressed concern over the President's alleged connection to a Guinean diplomatic passport, which he believes creates uncertainty over the President's true nationality.

He stated: "We have a President whose nationality is unknown because he holds a Guinea diplomatic passport." Odinkalu also pointed out that there is no clear information about the President's parentage, family background, primary school, secondary school, and university education. He queried how one can claim to have obtained a university degree without providing proof of their primary and secondary education.

This issue has surfaced alongside reports suggesting that President Tinubu did not submit his primary and secondary school certificates when he filed his election paperwork with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
