‘파리 올림픽 스타’ 오예진·양지인·반효진, 아시안게임서도 금빛 조준

South Korean archers Oh Ye-jin, Yang Ji-in, and Bong Hye-jin are preparing for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, where they plan to aim for gold medals. With the Paris Olympics still fresh in their minds, the trio is focusing on maintaining a strong mental game in the smaller setting of the Asian Games. Oh Ye-jin explained that despite the pressure of being a gold medalist from the Olympics, her main priority is now to improve on any areas she feels need work.

Yang Ji-in shared that she releases stress by singing in karaoke or playing the guitar while driving, while Bong Hye-jin mentioned that taking time to listen to the sound of the ocean helps clear her mind. These athletes, representing South Korea for the first time in 37 years, will compete in 28 events across 10 sports at the 2026 Asian Games, which are set to take place from September 19th to October 4th.

The team is aiming for 19 medals in total - 5 gold, 9 silver, and 5 bronze - with the national team coach expressing optimism in the athletes' ability to regulate their emotions following their recent success at the Paris Olympics.
