An Incheon education office superintendent has filed a complaint against the parents of a student at Ojong Elementary School, saying he would not tolerate their threats against teachers.

Gyeonggi-do Education Director Ahn Min-seok has filed formal criminal charges against a parent at Parten Ojungso School, following a serious allegation of educational rights violation. Ahn made the announcement during a press conference at the district's conference room, confirming that he personally visited the Parten Ojung Police Station to submit a criminal complaint on behalf of the school.

This marks his first involvement in such matters since taking office. The incident involves a teacher who intervened in a child dispute but subsequently faced accusations of child abuse from the parents. The Education Rights Protection Committee recognized this behavior as a violation of educational activities. Ahn emphasized that while he expected the parents to apologize to the teacher and dismiss their claims, he ultimately decided to file the complaint after carefully considering the perspectives of both the teacher and the school.

He stated that allowing disruptive behavior and threats to undermine legitimate educational activities is unacceptable, and that the safety and dignity of educators must be upheld through strict adherence to legal principles and ethical standards. Ahn also announced the final selection of 300 education rights protection specialists, consisting of lawyers, doctors, police officers, and other experts, to provide one-on-one support to teachers facing issues such as child abuse accusations, serious educational rights violations, and malicious complaints.

The specialists will be available from March 13th to 18th for initial case management and will commence full-scale activities on March 22nd. Initially, the district planned to select 50 specialists, but received over 1,800 applications, prompting them to increase the number to 300.
