올공서 장동혁 손 ‘덥석’ 잡던 황교안 “부정선거 함께 막자”…연이틀 손짓

On the evening of August 8th, Jeonju representative Hong Gyo-an met with National Resistance Party leader Jeong Dong-hyuk at a demonstration in Seoul's Olympic Park, where they discussed joint efforts to stop alleged fraudulent elections. Hong, known for advocating against fraudulent elections, appeared on a popular video-sharing platform on August 9th, stating that he had met Jeong earlier that day and shared the same sentiment.

The two representatives met at the protest site in Olympic Park on August 8th, where Jeong was standing among the demonstrators, holding a handmade placard saying "Restoring the voting rights on Liberation Day!" Jeong approached Hong from behind, shook hands with him, and then subtly corrected his hand gesture. After Hong stood up and raised his left arm in a "fighting" position, Jeong walked away while chanting "Fraudulent elections" in a friendly manner.

Hong's public appearance came just a few minutes after his meeting with Jeong. Hong, often referred to as a representative of the far-right movement, was identified as a prominent figure in the "Speaker" category of alleged fraudulent election allegations. Following his arrest on November 12th last year on charges of inciting a coup, Jeong had called for the emergency arrest of then Prime Minister Hong Gyo-an during a protest at the local government office on the same day, declaring, "This is a war.

We are Hong Gyo-an. Let's unite and fight together." In January 2019, Jeong had visited Jeong while he was on a hunger strike at the National Assembly in protest of the Double Special Prosecutor Act, offering support and encouragement.
