Six key GST officials in Chennai transferred

An SFI activist, identified as Adarsh, was detained at Chennai airport on Monday after allegedly attacking ED officials returning from a search at former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's residence. The attack occurred on May 27 as part of an investigation into financial dealings between Vijayan's daughter's firm and a sand mining company.

Adarsh, a member of the SFI Chala area committee, had left for Dubai before his arrest, prompting the police to issue a lookout circular. The ED had searched Vijayan's rented house in Thiruvananthapuram earlier that month, but as the officials were leaving, a mob attacked their vehicles, injuring a CRPF officer and a search team member.

Around 300 activists from CPI(M), DYFI, and SFI were accused in connection with the incident, and some were recently granted bail by the Kerala High Court.
