FPJ-Exclusive: Maharashtra ATS Books Fundamentalist Organisation Over Alleged Indoctrination Of Minors To Build Radicalised ‘Child Wing’

Mumbai, August 10, 2026 - The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has accused a fundamentalist organization of running a program to indoctrinate children aged 10 to 15 across the state, allegedly building a dedicated child wing. Digital forensic analysis of seized electronic devices uncovered videos and materials documenting this program, revealing a systematic effort to expose children to extremist narratives through structured activities, posing potential threats to national security.

The investigation began with intelligence-led searches in Ahilyanagar and Yavatmal districts, where ATS teams seized various electronic devices and documents. Forensic examination of the seized devices, including video recordings, forms the basis of the first information report. The investigation has brought to light a "Summer Islamic Camp" held in Pusad city, where the organization reportedly isolated young participants and exposed them to hardline and anti-national ideologies.

The ATS alleges that the organization organized role-play exercises centred on polarising themes, such as the Israel-Palestine conflict, where children enacted scenes of warfare, portraying Israel as committing atrocities against Palestinians. Another performance divided children into groups portraying Hindus and Muslims, with one group placing Hindu deities inside a mosque and discussing the demolition of the Babri Masjid, despite the incident never having occurred.

Police are examining the nature and purpose of physical training sessions also conducted during these programmes.
