SCR GM stresses intensive ballast checks during rains

SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava has instructed field staff to conduct comprehensive ballast inspections to maintain track stability during heavy rainfall. He emphasized the need to focus on newly built bridges, road underpasses, and railway lines, which are particularly susceptible during their first monsoon season. Srivastava stressed adherence to stringent safety protocols for all train operations involving railway personnel, contractors, or agencies.

Any minor deficiencies or inconveniences must be reported promptly to enable timely corrective actions. Preventive measures like trenching and barricading should be implemented at vulnerable locations to ensure uninterrupted train operations. Additionally, awareness programs are being organized to inform villagers about the dangers of cattle run-over incidents, especially on sensitive railway track sections.
