Saudi Passports Directorate clarifies penalty for overstaying final exit visa

The Saudi Passports Directorate has clarified the penalty for expatriates overstaying their final exit visa. According to the official account of the General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia, a fine of 1,000 riyals (SAR) applies if individuals do not depart the Kingdom before their final exit visa expires. This information was shared on the Passports Directorate's X platform page in response to a follower's query about canceling an exit visa for a dependent whose visa had expired.

The Directorate added that the resident ID (Iqama) must still be valid to cancel the visa. The General Directorate of Passports has also outlined the process for issuing a final exit visa for domestic workers electronically through the Absher platform. Beneficiaries can access this service by logging into the Absher website, selecting 'domestic workers,' navigating to the visa services section, and issuing the final exit visa.
