Samsung Galaxy A18 Appears On Geekbench Listing

Following a year since the launch of the Galaxy A17, the successor model, the Galaxy A18, has appeared on Geekbench, a benchmarking database. However, it has not been officially announced yet. This listing reveals some performance-related specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A18. The device is identified as the SM-A185G and is powered by a MediaTek chipset known as MT6789, one of the two possible designations for the Helio G99.

The memory capacity is reported as 3.56GB, which would correspond to a 4GB specification on paper. Android 17 and One UI 9 are also mentioned, though it is uncertain whether this refers to the 4G or 5G version of the device. Early reports suggested a 4G model designated as SM-A185F, seen in European servers, which also suggested the use of One UI 9.

Serial leakster @OnLeaks shared renders of the phone with Smartphone Checker, a UK-based outlet, who claim the renders are based on data shared by Samsung with case makers. The device is expected to resemble its predecessor, the Galaxy A17, featuring a U-shaped notch and a camera island at the back. The launch date for the Galaxy A18 remains unknown, but the A17 was released in early September of the previous year, which may provide a clue as to when the A18 will be unveiled.
