Osun Guber: APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe reveals ‘unbelievable’ mistake Adeleke made

All Progressives Congress (APC) insider Joe Igbokwe has harshly criticized Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for switching allegiances from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Accord Party prior to the gubernatorial election. Igbokwe deemed Adeleke's move an "unbelievable mistake," contending that the governor should have aligned himself with the ruling APC, particularly considering President Bola Tinubu's familial connections to Osun State.

The APC chieftain disclosed this in a post on his official Facebook page, stating, "Governor Adeleke made an unbelievable mistake when he left PDP to the Accord Party instead of joining APC knowing fully well that PBAT has a family link with Osun State Nigeria." It is noteworthy that Adeleke is now vying for the governorship position on the Accord Party ticket, following his departure from the PDP.

Governor Adeleke, however, has expressed apprehensions regarding alleged harassment and intimidation of his supporters by agents of the Federal Government. In a recent statement, Adeleke alleged that some of his supporters had been arrested and even killed, claiming it was an attempt to sabotage his re-election campaign. He further accused certain Federal Government entities of being employed to undermine his election efforts leading up to the vote.
