NPP Germany branch elects Dr Nana Benyin Enninful as Chairman

Dr. Nana Benyin Enninful has been chosen as the new Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Germany Branch after a close election held in Hamburg and Saarbrücken. Dr. Enninful defeated the previous Chairperson, Dr. Felix Yamoah, in an election that the party described as peaceful and a demonstration of their dedication to internal democracy.

The new leadership is set to guide the NPP Germany Branch for the next four years. Edith Opoku Mensah, known as Nana Ama Seewaah, will serve as First Vice Chairperson, while Ruth Lindenberger will be Second Vice Chairperson. Kofi Okantah was elected Secretary, with Frempong Boakye Isaac, known as FBI, as Deputy Secretary. Sitah Abdul-Hhaaliq will be the Organizer, and Michael Arthur, known as McArthur, will be the Communication Officer.

The new team also includes Madam Mary Ahenkan as Women’s Organizer and Oppong Odkuku Kwadwo as Youth Organizer. Mohamed Awal will be Treasurer, and Alhaji Busy Ouedraogo will serve as Nasara Organizer.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Enninful expressed gratitude to the delegates for entrusting him and his team with the role. He promised to lead an administration that is open, inclusive, and responsive to the concerns of all members, regardless of their voting choice during the election. Dr. Enninful emphasized that this victory is not just about winning an election, but marks a new beginning for the NPP in Germany.

He stressed that his administration would be built on democratic leadership, where every member's voice is heard, opinions are respected, and each member is valued. He called for all members, irrespective of their support during the election, to join him in rebuilding the branch.

The new leadership plans to concentrate on unity, discipline, grassroots engagement, and communication among various NPP chapters in Germany. Communication Officer-elect Michael Arthur highlighted the importance of effective communication, emphasizing that the branch will strive to ensure timely and accurate information sharing among members.

The new executives also aim to strengthen coordination among chapters and mobilize support for the upcoming 2028 Ghana general elections. They also highlighted the need to empower women, youth, and other groups within the branch to play a more active role in the party.

Dr. Enninful appealed for all members, including supporters of losing candidates, former executives, and disengaged party members, to come together and support the new administration in rebuilding the NPP Germany Branch. He stressed that the ultimate strength of the NPP Germany Branch lies in the collective efforts of its members, not in individual personalities.

The new executives pledged to collaborate with the outgoing leadership, chapter executives, delegates, and the wider membership to build a more united, inclusive, and better-organized NPP Germany Branch.
