Musaned outlines rules for replacement domestic worker visas

Saudi Arabia's Musaned platform has outlined the rules for obtaining a replacement visa for domestic workers who leave the country within 90 days of their initial arrival. The official Musaned platform account has provided details on the eligible professions and the reasons a replacement visa application might be rejected. According to Musaned, a replacement visa can be issued if a domestic worker departs Saudi Arabia on a final exit within the first 90 days of their arrival. The service applies to several professions, including housemaids, nannies, and caregivers.

However, there are factors that could lead to the rejection of a replacement visa application. Firstly, if the applicant exceeds the permitted number of visas according to the domestic worker recruitment regulations, which includes issued, active, and requested visas. Secondly, if the applicant has outstanding traffic violations registered against them.

Thirdly, if the worker's probation period extends beyond the allowed 90 days from their arrival date. The worker must depart within the allowed probation period to qualify for a replacement visa. Fourthly, the worker's status must be recorded as "final exit" in the Absher system to obtain a replacement visa. Lastly, compensation for a visa is granted only once for each visa that has been issued and used.
