Lim Lip Eng posts RM5,000 bounty after woman set alight in brutal Kepong petrol attack

Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has issued a RM5,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the individual who allegedly set an elderly woman ablaze outside a Kuala Lumpur lottery shop. The suspect reportedly poured what police suspect to be petrol on the victim, an 82-year-old woman, who works at the premises. The woman, who remains in critical but stable condition at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, suffered burns to approximately half of her body.

Lim Lip Eng called the incident a "shocking act of cruelty" and emphasized the importance of finding and apprehending the perpetrator to ensure they face the full force of the law. He also urged the public not to confront the suspect themselves, urging them to report any credible information to the authorities. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation, and Sentul deputy police chief Jasni Zolpa confirmed that a special operation has been launched to track down and apprehend the suspect.
