LexisNexis pulls three services offline after suspicious server activity

LexisNexis removed its Diligence, Metabase API, and Newsdesk services from operation last week after identifying suspicious server activity hosted by a third-party vendor. The company's president, Todd Larsen, explained that the decision was made to safeguard customers by isolating the issue and severing connections from the problematic systems.

While this action led to the temporary shutdown of the affected applications, LexisNexis maintained that it was the appropriate course to ensure the integrity of its environment and protect its customers' data while conducting an ongoing investigation. The company is collaborating with a renowned cybersecurity forensic firm to review the situation and make necessary remediation efforts. LexisNexis did not disclose whether any customer data was compromised during this episode.
