Jon-Eric Sullivan: De'Von Achane, Jordyn Brooks, Aaron Brewer are "the pillars we build around"

The Miami Dolphins are in the process of a cultural transformation, but a number of their current players are proving to be a good fit for the new direction the organization is striving for. Running back De Von Achane, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, and center Aaron Brewer were all given new contracts this year as a result.

Speaking with Joe Rose of WQAM, new Dolphins General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan discussed the decision to reward these three players. He emphasized that when it comes to compensations at the organization, performance will be the key factor. Sullivan noted that when watching the tape, Brooks, Brewer, and Achane have been making a significant number of plays.

He also mentioned the exemplary work ethic of these players, their ability to inspire others, and their consistent practice habits, which made the decision to sign them easy.

Achane had been dealing with an injury during the spring, but Sullivan was impressed with his performance, stating that he is arguably the best player on the field every week. With the new coach Jeff Hafley and General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan sharing a common vision for building the team, the Dolphins may be on the brink of eliminating dysfunction from their roster.
