IPL 2027: Which team will Hardik Pandya join, or will he stay with MI?

Hardik Pandya's future at Mumbai Indians is once again being discussed as trade talks heat up ahead of the IPL 2027 season. The Indian all-rounder has attracted interest from franchises like Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, though Mumbai Indians have not yet decided to put him up for trade. There have been requests from several teams regarding Pandya, but no definitive deal has been reached yet. Other teams like Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals have also shown interest in the player.

This speculation comes amidst another significant development for Mumbai Indians. Rajasthan Royals are reportedly willing to trade Yashasvi Jaiswal ahead of the IPL 2027, with MI believed to be among the potential suitors. Pandya's future has come under scrutiny following a disappointing IPL 2026 campaign for both the player and Mumbai Indians. MI ended the season in ninth place with just four wins, while Pandya, retained for Rs 16.35 crore, struggled to make an impact, scoring 206 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 138.25 and taking only four wickets.

His form has declined over the past two seasons, with him taking 11 wickets in 2025 and 14 in 2024. Despite this, Pandya is still highly sought-after by IPL franchises, and any team considering a move for him must consider the version of the player they will acquire.
