The trial of Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts, is currently underway in Plymouth Superior Court. Clancy is accused of first-degree murder for the deaths of her three children: Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months). Prosecutors allege that she strangled the children with exercise bands in their family home on January 24, 2023, while her husband, Patrick, was away.

After the attack, Clancy allegedly harmed herself by cutting her wrists and neck and jumped from a second-story window. The fall left her paralyzed below the sternum. Clancy has pleaded not guilty, arguing that her actions were due to severe postpartum mental illness and psychosis, worsened by overmedication and failures in the mental health system.

Jury selection started on July 20, 2026, and an 18-member jury was seated within four days. Opening statements and testimony began on July 27. As of August 10, the trial is in its third week of testimony. The defense argues that Clancy was not criminally responsible, while prosecutors claim she is guilty.
