Gachagua to expose Ruto’s failures in four-year scorecard

Nairobi, Kenya - Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua plans to deliver a scathing critique of President William Ruto's administration during his speech ahead of the 2027 General Election. Gachagua, leader of the Democratic Congress Party (DCP), announced this during a visit to Narok East Constituency. The address will detail what Gachagua claims are the Ruto administration's failures including economic hardship, poor governance, insecurity, and alleged abuses of power.

He vowed to expose these issues to Kenyans, asserting that the nation needs to know the truth about Ruto's four years in office and the reasons he should be voted out of office. Gachagua reiterated his accusations against the government, particularly the killing of Mt Elgon parliamentary hopeful Nathan Wasama. He alleged that the victim had reported death threats to police multiple times, yet authorities failed to act, and that Wasama's alleged threatener was being protected by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.

Gachagua urged citizens to demand justice and promised to personally visit Mt Elgon to mobilize residents.
