Father kills daughters aged 5 and 10 at Bengaluru’s Taj Hotel: police

In Bengaluru, a father named SG Imran, a 35-year-old taxi company manager, has been arrested for allegedly killing his two daughters aged 5 and 10 before attempting suicide. The horrifying incident unfolded at the Taj Hotel near Kempegowda International Airport on Monday afternoon.

Hotel staff discovered a gruesome scene in one of the rooms when they noticed two lifeless bodies - a 10-year-old girl and her 5-year-old sister. The father, found unconscious on the floor, was admitted to a nearby hospital with stable medical condition. Unconfirmed reports suggest Imran had injuries to his throat.

Police were alerted by hotel security after the bodies were discovered. The police found a suicide note written by Imran inside the room, which accused his wife of infidelity. The note suggests Imran killed his daughters before attempting suicide, though this link has not been established yet.

Imran and his daughters checked into the hotel at 7 pm on Sunday, with a planned checkout by noon on Monday. Hotel security opened the room at 4.30 pm when they were still not checked out. The police are now examining CCTV footage from the hotel corridors as part of their investigation, including post-mortem reports from the bodies of the two children.
