Dubai welcomes Women’s Asia Cup – All the details

The sixth edition of the Women's T20 Asia Cup is set to arrive in the United Arab Emirates from August 28 to September 13. Eight teams, including Asia's finest cricketing nations, will vie for continental glory in this regional international tournament organized by the Asian Cricket Council. The competition, now played in Twenty20 format, features leading women's national teams from across Asia.

Sri Lanka emerged as the defending champions after clinching the title in 2024, while India remains the most successful team with seven victories. Pakistan and Bangladesh are also expected to provide strong competition. Additionally, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, and Nepal will take part, adding to the excitement of the tournament.

The eight-team line-up is divided into two groups of four. Group A features India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the UAE, while Group B consists of Australia, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Nepal. Each team will play three group-stage matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the winners facing off in the final on September 13.

All matches will be played under lights at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, providing fans with an opportunity to witness high-octane action. Broadcast details for the 2026 Women's T20 Asia Cup are yet to be confirmed, but the Asian Cricket Council is expected to announce television and streaming partners in the coming weeks.
