Dubai Police launches stadium safety campaign ahead of ADNOC Pro League season

Dubai Police, in partnership with Union Coop, has initiated a public awareness campaign to inform football enthusiasts about their responsibilities and stadium safety protocols prior to the commencement of the 2026-27 ADNOC Pro League season on August 14. This initiative, part of the 'Your Commitment, Our Happiness' program, will be disseminated via Union Coop's digital display screens in its stores.

The campaign aims to heighten awareness of the stipulations outlined in Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 concerning the security of sports facilities and events, while encouraging responsible behavior within stadiums. Lieutenant Nabit Sultan Al Ketbi, coordinator of the initiative, stated that its objective is to reach a broad audience of shoppers in Dubai, enlightening them about stadium regulations and safety procedures to ensure a pleasant match-day experience.

The digital screens will present a QR code enabling visitors to access detailed guidelines on stadium safety measures and a list of items prohibited, such as glass containers, remote-controlled devices like drones, pets, sharp objects, fireworks, flares, laser devices, and other restricted items. Al Ketbi emphasized that the campaign also strives to foster responsible fan conduct by urging supporters to adhere to acceptable behavior standards and refrain from negative or abusive actions towards others.

He further mentioned that the campaign reinforces public understanding of spectators' legal obligations under the federal law governing the security of sports facilities and events.
