Defense Forces destroy 96 of 130 Russian aerial targets

On the night of August 10, Russian forces launched a barrage of attacks against Ukrainian settlements. Their arsenal included an Kh-59/69 guided air missile, three Banderol loitering munitions, and 126 Shahed type strike UAVs, encompassing jet-powered, Gerbera, and Parodiya drones. According to reports from the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defense systems thwarted the majority of the enemy's efforts.

By 09:00 on August 11, Ukrainian air defense operations had successfully shot down or suppressed 92 of the enemy's UAVs, encompassing Shahed, Gerbera, and other types. Additionally, they neutralized 3 'Banderol' loitering munitions across the north, south, and east of Ukraine. Furthermore, 31 strike UAVs were brought down in 22 locations, while the destruction of the downed drones was recorded in 2 locations.

Despite the relentless assault, Ukrainian forces' countermeasures were effective. The enemy's missile never reached its intended targets, and the true location of the crash site is still under investigation. The air attack was repelled by multiple units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, comprising aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups. As of the latest update, the ongoing attack saw a handful of enemy UAVs persisting within the airspace.
