Cultural Development Fund launches AI incentives for cultural projects

Saudi Arabia's Cultural Development Fund has announced the launch of AI incentives to support cultural initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Quality of Life Program. The "AI Incentives for Cultural Projects" initiative was unveiled in Riyadh on Monday, as part of the first phase of the "Namah Incentives" program.

This partnership aims to bolster cultural projects in key areas aligned with national goals, fostering growth, innovation, and sustainability. Eligible micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises can access financial incentives of up to 500,000 riyals to develop and adopt AI technologies within their cultural ventures. The program concentrates on six primary areas, such as enhancing cultural experiences and participation, promoting digital transformation within the cultural sector, and leveraging the Year of Artificial Intelligence initiative.

The Cultural Development Fund's CEO, Majid bin Abdulmohsen Al-Hogail, emphasized the strategic significance of this initiative in enabling the cultural sector to harness modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to bolster cultural products and services and elevate the sector's contribution to the creative economy in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

Interested parties can obtain further information and submit applications through the Cultural Development Fund's website at https://cdf.gov.sa/ until the deadline of September 29, 2026. This initiative is a cornerstone of the Fund's role as a center of excellence and financial empowerment for the cultural sector, with the ultimate objective of ensuring sustainable growth and maximizing its impact on the creative economy in line with the National Culture Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
