‘Cheap product’ – Babachir Lawal mocks Atiku’s presidential bid

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has criticized Atiku Abubakar's presidential bid, describing it as a "cheap product". In a recent Facebook post, Lawal expressed his dismay at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for replacing Umar Suleiman, who won the party's Adamawa governorship primary, with Tukur Moddibo.

Lawal alleged that this substitution was influenced by ethnic considerations, suggesting that Atiku played a role in the decision. He compared Atiku and the ADC's candidate-selection process to low-quality products bought from an online marketplace, stating that both have resulted in disappointing outcomes. Lawal further accused Atiku of favoring candidates based on ethnic and religious grounds.
