The Kabeberi 7s tournament kicks off at the RFUEA Grounds on August 15–16, with the Bankers eager to defend their remarkable streak of four consecutive titles, achieved from 2022 to 2025. To achieve a fifth crown, they must navigate a challenging group stage, where their nearest rivals, Kabras Sugar, are also competing.

Kabras, who recently claimed victory in the Dala 7s tournament in Kisumu by defeating Menengai Oilers, brings a formidable presence to Group D. This rematch between the two teams is particularly significant, given their recent encounters. On the other hand, KCB Rugby exited Kisumu early, suffering a 14-12 quarterfinal loss to Kenya Harlequins, which ended their Dala 7s defense.

Other teams to watch in Group D include MMUST, who drew with KCB in pool play, and Nakuru RFC. Meanwhile, in Pool A, Kenya Harlequins aim to use their Dala 7s performance as a basis for their Pool A clash against Daystar Falcons, Kisumu RFC, and Impala RFC. Hosts Mwamba RFC lead Pool B, alongside Strathmore Leos, Nondies, and newly-promoted CUEA Monks. Menengai Oilers top Pool C, facing Zetech Oaks, Blak Blad, and Mombasa RFC.
