ASR district tops State in Jaladhara-Jalaharathi water conservation programme

Alluri Sitharama Raju district has emerged as the state's top performer in the Jaladhara-Jalaharathi water conservation programme, securing first place across all three categories. The district's outstanding performance was attributed to the diligent efforts of its administration, led by Collector T. Nishanthi. The programme, aimed at promoting water conservation, developing water resources, and enhancing water storage capacity, saw the district leading in the number of works undertaken, new water storage capacity created, and expected outcomes.

The district administration, comprising various departmental officials, field staff, and other stakeholders, has been lauded for their collective contributions to the success. The programme is expected to bolster water security, enhance irrigation potential, augment water storage capacity, and create sustainable water resources, with a particular focus on benefiting the district's tribal and rural populations.
