한국경영학회 창립 70주년, 제주서 제28회 융합학술대회 개최

The Korean Institute of Business Administration (KIBA) is set to celebrate the 28th Annual Cross-Disciplinary Conference on "Human Vitality, the Path to Business Administration in Jeju" at Jeju Shinhwaworld from August 18th to 20th. This year marks the 70th anniversary of KIBA, and this conference is a joint effort by 48 leading business administration associations in South Korea.

Stakeholders from academia, industry, government, and public institutions gathered to discuss pressing issues such as AI transformation, local economic revitalization, corporate innovation, and business education.

The core theme of this year's conference is "Human Vitality." In the face of expanding uncertainties brought by AI, digital transformation, and global economic instability, KIBA believes that increasing the vitality of businesses, the regional community, small and medium-sized enterprises, and consumers is essential for sustainable growth.

KIBA President Choi Jung-il emphasized, "Business administration should not simply study business growth but provide practical solutions for businesses, regions, and the nation to grow together."

Throughout the conference, various sessions will be held on topics including "The Efforts of Jeju's Economy through Joint Ventures of Business, Industry, Academia, and Research" and "The Future of Business Education in the AI Era," with contributions from experts from the tourism industry, new industries, and public sector experts.

The conference will also recognize companies and business leaders who have contributed to Korean economic and industrial development and business innovation, including a presentation to Cheong-Mack Group Chairman Ik Sung and Seoul Investment Securities Chief Executive Officer Hoon Heo.

Notable winners at the conference include Satellite Launching Organization Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Governor, and representatives from Unitech, Jeju Bank, and Netflix, specifically for their achievements in innovation, finance, media, and small business management. KIBA President Choi Jung-il urged the business administration community to not only explain the changes of the era but also provide solutions to the new challenges faced by society, stating that business administration should become a practical discipline that meets the needs of the era.

KIBA plans to strengthen its collaboration platform connecting academia, industry, and government as it looks to the future of Korean business administration over the next 100 years.
