A lobby scandal involving Jeju apartment complex and the political circle has raised concerns. The victims' countermeasures committee filed a complaint against Rep. Moon Dae-lim on the 17th, claiming that he was involved in the scandal. On the same day, the committee held a press conference at the Jeju City Hall and claimed that a high-ranking official of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Rep. Moon were involved in the lobby. The committee alleged that Moon received an apartment in the complex at a discounted price through an unfair process and that Rep. Kim Seon-kyung and former Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong were also involved in the scandal. In response, Rep. Moon released a statement, denying all allegations and announcing that he would take legal action. On the 17th, Rep. Moon said, "The allegations are groundless," adding, "I will take a strong legal action against the person who made false accusations."
