Inverted fishing boat... 3 men rescued after 11 hours of missing contact A fishing boat that had gone missing with 3 men on board was found to have sunk, and all 3 men were rescued 11 hours later. On the 1st, the Coast Guard reported that it received a distress signal at 1:00 AM from a fishing boat, the 9.77-ton "Jinyeong-ho", which was operating near the maritime boundary with Japan. The boat had 3 men on board, 2 Koreans and 1 foreign national. The ship's owner reported that at around 11:40 PM on the previous day, the boat was fishing in an area about 98 kilometers north-northwest of the Okryeong Island, South Hwanghae Province, when it suddenly capsized. The 3 men on board were thrown into the sea, and the Coast Guard immediately dispatched rescue teams. However, the Coast Guard was only able to locate them at around 12:00 PM on the same day, 11 hours after the boat had sunk. The 3 men were rescued in a state of shock and hypothermia. The Coast Guard is investigating the exact cause of the accident.
