UAE convoys deliver 663 tonnes of food and shelter supplies to Gaza in latest mission

In a recent aid mission, five additional UAE convoys carrying 663 tonnes of humanitarian supplies entered Gaza via 75 lorries. These supplies, destined for those suffering in the war-torn enclave, were prepared and loaded by the UAE humanitarian team in Al Arish, Egypt, situated near the Gaza border. State news agency Wam highlighted that these efforts underscored "the UAE's commitment to continuing its humanitarian and relief efforts in support of the Palestinian people."

This commitment reflects the country's longstanding humanitarian approach and values of solidarity and humanitarian responsibility. Since the operation's launch on November 5th, 2023, the UAE has consistently been at the forefront of aid deliveries, surpassing the 1,000-day mark of continuous support. During this period, over Dh14.2 billion ($3.89 billion) in aid has been sent, which has contributed to establishing a floating hospital in Egypt, two medical centers in Gaza, and providing medical care to thousands of patients, including those suffering from cancer and war-related injuries.

Furthermore, the UAE's Step of Hope programme, established in June to aid civilians who lost limbs during the war, has successfully fitted prosthetic limbs for 51 Palestinian amputees since its inception.
