Taylor Swift makes her music unavailable to Trump on TikTok after trolling

Taylor Swift has made her music unavailable on TikTok for the US President Donald Trump, following his use of her song "August" in a Team Trump video. The President captioned the video, "Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president," expressing that he believed Taylor Swift would be "super excited" about using her song.

However, the singer was certainly not thrilled with the situation. The video has since been altered to show without audio, accompanied by a TikTok note stating, "This sound isn't available." This is not the first time the Trump administration has used Swift's music in their content. In November, they posted a video using "Father Figure," and in the same month, the White House account used "The Fate of Ophelia."

Since then, at least 10 songs by Swift have been removed from videos shared by the Trump administration, including "Red (Taylor's Version)," "Love Story," "Daylight," "The Fate of Ophelia," "Opalite," "Father Figure," "I Knew It," "I Knew You," "Cruel Summer," and "The Eras Tour audio." Taylor Swift has previously shown support for Democratic candidates, and in September 2024, Donald Trump responded to her announcement by posting "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" on his Truth Social account.

Swift's music remains accessible for personal posts on TikTok but has been blocked from political accounts. A similar incident occurred with Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, who removed the "EoO" audio from a post on the White House account.
