Taylor Swift makes her music unavailable to Trump on TikTok after trolling

Taylor Swift has barred her music from being used by the US President Donald Trump on TikTok. The decision follows Trump's use of her song "August" in a video featuring himself and his wife, Melania Trump, celebrating the Fourth of July. The caption on the video read, "Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president," prompting Swift's response.

The now-infamous video has been altered to display a note stating, "This sound isn't available." This isn't the first instance of Trump's administration utilizing Swift's music in videos; in November, they employed songs "Father Figure" and "The Fate of Ophelia." All three tracks have since been removed from the political TikTok accounts.

At least ten of Swift's songs are currently inaccessible on Team Trump's TikTok videos, including "Red (Taylor's Version)," "Love Story," "Daylight," "The Fate of Ophelia," "Opalite," "Father Figure," "I Knew It, I Knew You," "Cruel Summer," and the audio from the "Eras Tour." The singer has previously shown support for Democratic candidates, voicing her opposition to Trump.

In fact, Trump reacted negatively to Swift's announcement of her vote for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, posting "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" on his platform Truth Social. Swift is not alone in her stance against Team Trump's use of her music; Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny also removed the audio from a post on the White House account.
