The Democratic Party's issue of 'voter count manipulation' claims has provoked internal backlash. The party's chairperson, Lee Joon-hyun, defined this as 'slander' and not 'voter count manipulation'. This stance has been met with resistance within the party. The chief spokesperson of the party, Choi Bo-young, stated that it would be unjust to exclude the process of verifying and modifying candidate-specific voter counts from the review process.

The special investigative committee of the party, under Lee's leadership, is investigating the possibility of incorrect input of voter numbers by the Central Election Commission and the Gyeonggi Electoral Commission. Lee had previously stated during a joint meeting with the conservative youth group that 'voter count manipulation' is a logical fallacy and not 'voter count manipulation'.

However, some party members argue that if voter numbers are found to have been manipulated in a majority of cases, then the issue of 'voter count manipulation' should also be investigated. Party member Jeong Jin-woo criticized the party's decision to exclude the 'voter count manipulation' possibility from the investigation, calling it a premature conclusion and an abandonment of duty.

The special investigative commission's decision to reassess the 'Olympic Park' election results by 18th is now at risk due to delays. Choi stated that the decision to reassess may be postponed if there is no special investigation. The party also plans to request testimony from 29 individuals, including former Central Election Commission chief and current party member, in a third hearing at the National Assembly on the 10th.
