Red Crescent in Al-Baha boosts emergency readiness for Civil Defense staff

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha conducted a training course for Civil Defense staff to improve drowning prevention and emergency response skills. The Training and Community Awareness Department, in collaboration with the Civil Defense, organized the in-person training at the Al-Baha training hall. The course encompassed theoretical and practical sessions on first aid for drowning incidents, administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), managing choking and bleeding cases, and utilizing automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

These activities aimed to boost first aid skills and bolster emergency response capabilities. In addition, the Training and Community Awareness Department initiated a social media campaign to emphasize the significance of drowning prevention, encourage adherence to safety guidelines, and disseminate preventive practices that mitigate drowning incidents and safeguard public safety.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha urged community members to enroll in the 'First Eight Minutes' courses through the 'Mutahehb' platform to gain essential first aid skills and enhance their capacity to respond effectively during the critical initial minutes of emergencies, thereby saving lives and raising awareness about first aid in society.
