Lawyers for Animal Rights are urging the police to investigate a recent incident where a four-wheel drive vehicle allegedly killed two puppies in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Rajesh Nagarajan, a representative from Lawyers for Animal Rights, stated that a white Mitsubishi Triton was observed running over the puppies twice as it entered a parking lot, before exiting and doing so again, resulting in the animals' deaths.

Nagarajan emphasized that the incident cannot be dismissed as mere coincidence or accident. He added in a statement that the vehicle not only ran over the puppies once but also did so a second time, which he deemed particularly concerning in a press release. The lawyer called for a police investigation under Section 29(1)(a) and 29(1)(e) of the Animal Welfare Act, which include cruel acts towards animals and causing unnecessary suffering or injury.

The lawyer stressed that the authorities must obtain closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the area before it is destroyed, in addition to tracking the suspect and obtaining a forensic veterinary report to determine the cause of the unfortunate puppy's death.
