Lands Minister honours former Environment, Science and Technology Minister

On Friday, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, attended a special prayer session to honor the late Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, the former Minister for Environment, Science and Technology. Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah praised Dr. Muhammed for his patriotic leadership and commitment to national development.

Despite serving as minister for only six months, Dr. Muhammed had already made significant contributions, including repealing a law that permitted mining in forest reserves, hosting key international events, and launching initiatives aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable development. The Minister highlighted Dr. Muhammed's visionary leadership, noting that his understanding of environmental stewardship as both a political and spiritual responsibility set a strong foundation for the Ministry's ongoing work.

The Ministry expressed deep condolences to Dr. Muhammed's family and pledged to continue working towards the goals he had established.
