Kristo Asafo Mission reaffirms Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I as new leader

The Kristo Asafo Mission in Ghana has officially declared Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I as the new leader of the church, following the demise of its founder, Apostle Emeritus Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. This decision was made by the council of elders based on the succession plans left by the late founder. This reaffirmation took place during a national joint intercessory prayer service held to commemorate the founder's birthday and honor him as he rests in glory.

The ceremony, themed "Intercessory Prayer to Mark the Birth Month of Our Founder As He Rests in His Glory," brought together members of the Mission to pay tribute to the late founder and to pray for the continued prosperity of the church. The Mission explained that the founder had already outlined in his will the choice of a successor should anything happen to him. According to this arrangement, a selection among his three sons was required to assume leadership of the church.

Speaking at the prayer service, Akwesi Ofori, the Public Relations Officer of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, detailed that the council meticulously considered the succession process before reaching the decision to appoint Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I. Ofori emphasized that the process was not straightforward, acknowledging that selecting a new leader is a challenging task. Nevertheless, the council, guided by sound counsel, successfully chose Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I for the position.

Ofori urged all members of the church to fully support the new leader and to adhere to his vision for the church's ongoing development. He emphasized the importance of the congregation's backing in the new leader's efforts to steer the church towards further growth and success.
