Israel PM Netanyahu rejects Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed the 15-point plan for Gaza proposed by US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, stating that Israel will not withdraw its forces from the region until the militant group Hamas is fully disarmed. In a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu declared, "Israel rejects the 15-point document," in response to a plan endorsed by Hamas last month.

The Israeli army, he added, "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed and will continue to thwart threats against our forces and our citizens." Trump had announced last month that Hamas had agreed to lay down arms, but the Board of Peace had suggested a phased withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza alongside Hamas's disarmament.

Netanyahu emphasized that "when I say Hamas must be disarmed, I mean heavy weapons, lighter weapons, all weapons. We are talking about genuine disarmament, not a fictitious one."
